It has been an amazing year and I would like to thank everyone who has supported us with your encouragement. We have Big plans for 2008 with the Cap and Gown Photos for WR Myers in full swing. We are ready for the new challenges that lie ahead.

Sometimes I have a hard time keeping this blog going. When I get busy, I forget that it is there. I know I shouldn't forget.

Anyway, today I went to the ice arena and got access to the old commentators box above the red line. This is where I am going to try and shoot from. I will be able to take my equipment with me so I can get some better shots of the action.

This Saturday there is a wrestling meet at the high school. I hope to make it to that as well. Sunday there is Barrel Racing at the agriplex and I will be there too.

Wow, I seem to have a full plate.

If you want to see something cool, check out the TSS website in the next few days. I had some tough young ladys come to the studio to make a new Taber Minor Hockey poster for us. The girls were great and made it through the shoot like pros. I think the moms like the idea too.

There will be more to come on TSS as each sport season opens.

We did our first tournament yesterday and we had a great response. Other than the fact the team jerseys had no numbers, I got some good shots. The parents had a little difficulty identifying their players but sales were good and I believe people were happy with our product. We were invited to 3 other tournaments though. We also learned a big lesson about selection. We will use a display instead of print next time. I would like to Thank Taber Minor Hockey for inviting us to the Atom 4 on 4. Also the pictures from the Atom 4 on 4 can be viewed and purchased at www.mojoproofs.com . There are over 400 pictures there so it takes awhile to load.

Hope to see you all at the arena. We will soon be doing individual shots at the games by request. Just send us a request and we will be at your game. Keep an eye on the TSS website to use this feature when it is added.

It is full of sports action. This will be the place where I will showcase all the sports pictures I take. So far I have 7 galleries. I am limited to 10 but I will put them all on MojoProofs.com

Today it snowed. That is about all I have to say. Oh yeah, it was cold. My new ad came out in the paper today for my fall portrait special. I got a few calls on it. It was kind of small though and they put it on the last page. I was kind of miffed about that, but oh well. I saw a video on self promotion today and it talked about putting more than just a portfolio on you website. I am going to start looking into videos for the site. I think it will be a fun addition. Maybe it will help people get to know me better.

We will be at our new location on Oct. 1st. This weekend I was painting and getting the new studio cleaned up and ready for move in. This week I will be slowly moving in and organizing things. The new studio will be better because I have creative freedom in how it will look, unlike the current studio where I couldn't paint or make how it should be. Also, the location is better because it will be seen and there is a lot more foot traffic. The is a hair salon and a massage therapy studio upstairs. They all seem to be excited that we are moving in. I will post photos when it is done. Just to give you an idea though. It was gray, white and purple. It will be gray, black and white. This place is going to be nice.

I recently sent out an email to people who signed up for Fall Family Portraits at Taber MD Park. If you did not get one here s the info. I was a little late to get it in the paper for 9/12 but it will be there on 9/19. It is not to late to sign up and there are 3 weekends that are set aside for this event.

For those of you that know me, I am not a sports nut. I am however really getting into sports photography. Each game I go to, I capture the game as I see it. There is a lot of drama that goes on during the game play. So I decided to capture some dramatic images of the players. Here are my additions to the drama. Hopefully there will be more to come.

Golf day (a first for me)

Today we had our softball closeout party and we played golf. I have never even held a golf club. It was fun. If you can't hit it past the girl tee then you have to take your next shot with your pants down. Above is me before the tee off, after the tee off and me pulling my pants up. Golf is great fun.

Another Bithday Surprise

So we go to Boston Pizza for dinner and while we are waiting for the food to arrive, out come the cards. Birthday cards that is. My wife's sister and her husband and two boys gave me a Hurley baseball cap. It is so cool and it is the one I wanted. Then the BP crew comes out after dinner and asked me to stand up. Since when do they ask you to stand???
They announce that I am turning "21"!!! Ha Ha! I was like "yeah" and I danced while they sang.
It was great. I was glad the family was there to share my birthday. Thank you!

Today my friend Brien came to the studio for coffee. When I drove up he was waiting. We went inside and I showed him around the studio and we chatted about some stuff. When he had to go I asked if he could give me a tour of Frito Lay (where he works).

I was there for about an hour and a half and this place was cool. I saw the potatoes go from the trucks to the bags. It was pretty neat. I will never look at potato chips the same way again. Thanks Brien!!

What a birthday!

So here I am wanting to post to my blog and what do I find? It is gone. i was installing a new database on my server and had a dumb moment when I looked at the name of my blog database and said "What i that?" So I deleted it. Oh well, Time to start a new one. So it is August 29th and my 35th birthday. So here is my present to myself. A brand new blog! WooHoo.

School started today and my daughter was excited. I got up just in time to see her off. She is such a sweety.

Anyway I wanted to add new stuff to my blog so keep checking. I think I can post to it via my phone. If that works then there will be lots on here.
